Understanding Trekking

Trekking is walking at your own pace through well established trails whereby you will enjoy nature and people in the remote mountain villages. There will be a "trekking guide" to lead you the way and necessary "porter" to carry some of your packs which generates employment opportunity to the rural people under poverty line.

"Our people who serve you in your trekking are well trained for environment conservation and well versed with cuture, religion and other information about Nepal."

Types of Trekking

There are two types of trekking: -

1. Tea-house Trekking: A Tea- House Trek means the trekkers are provided lodging facilities in the village guest-house lodges at night. This way the trekkers enjoy being with ethnic villagers in remote areas, their hospitality and their culture. This way of trekking is now-a-days very popular in some of the conventional Trekking routes. It is good and economical, which is good that the Tourist's money goes directly to different people in different remote places. Tea-houses are available only in some trekking areas.

2. Organized camp trekking: In this trek you will be catered by a whole crew of staffs, you will stay overnight in tented camps. OlaTreks provides two men sleeping tents, dining tent, kitchen tent, toilet tent etc. We make the organized trek comfortable in respect to the terrain.
